			About this event
Join us for an afternoon at the theater. Margaret Chase was a woman of firsts. In 1940 she was the first woman elected from the State of Maine to serve in Congress. Nine years later she was the first woman from her state elected to the Senate. In 1950, she became the first woman to stand on the Senate floor and publicly rebuke Senator Joseph McCarthy. CONSCIENCE is the story of a remarkable woman who stood up for what was right and refused to back down. This is a regional premiere. Tickets for this event will sell out quickly, so please register early to ensure you have a seat at the show. The ticket fee is $33.50, payable to Niskayuna Neighbors Network via check or credit card. If paying by check, please bring the check with you to the event. We will meet at the theatre at 1:30 pm to pick up our tickets. The show runs from 2:00 to 3:40 p.m. For those interested, there will be the opportunity to go out for refreshments afterwards. If transportation is needed, please put in your request by October 14th.
